How to Turn Scattered Content Into Your Own App: The Petar Klančir Case Study

How to Turn Scattered Content Into Your Own App: The Petar Klančir Case Study

To turn scattered content into your own app, you gather everything your audience already follows (guides, videos, programs, community, newsletter) and connect it inside one app with your name on it. On 7 October 2026 we launched exactly that for IFBB Pro Petar Klančir: Petar Klancir: Bodybuilding, on the App Store and Google Play, in five languages.

This is the full case study: what he had, what was missing, what we built, and what any expert can take from it.

Who is Petar Klančir?

Petar Klančir is a Croatian IFBB Pro bodybuilder with more than 1 million followers across social media. He earned his IFBB Pro card in Prague in 2015, won NABBA Mr. Universe in 2012 and placed second at the San Marino Pro in 2016. He has coached more than 1,000 athletes, natural and enhanced, over 20 years under the bar.

What was the problem?

Petar had the method and the audience, but his system lived on other people's platforms. His training sat in PDF guides, his teaching in YouTube videos, and his community was spread across social media. A follower who wanted the full method had to piece it together across apps that each compete for attention.

That is a hard fight to win. According to BuildFire's 2026 app statistics, the average smartphone has more than 80 apps installed, but its owner uses only about 10 of them each day. A method split across five platforms rarely makes it into that daily ten.

He had the method and the way to attract customers, but he was missing the backend infrastructure. Now he has it.

What did we build?

We built one AI-powered app where every part of Petar's system is connected. Members open it and see what to train, what to eat and what to learn today, in his voice.

  • Follow-along workouts. His training programs, with sets, reps, tempo and rest for every session and a video for every exercise.
  • Nutrition. Calorie and macro targets for bulking, cutting or recomposition, with fast meal logging.
  • Learning. His guides, from fat loss to supplementation, as short lessons inside the app.
  • Ask Petar. An AI coach that answers from his own programs and guides, not from generic fitness advice.
  • Community and live calls. Members train toward the same goals together and join his coaching calls.
  • Newsletter. His email list is connected to the app instead of living in a separate tool.
  • Progress. Body weight, measurements, progress photos and a daily readiness score that says when to push and when to recover.

This is the front and back split we use for every expert: the member sees a clear daily plan in front, and everything Petar has created over the years becomes the knowledge base behind it. We explain that framework in how to turn your expertise into an AI-powered tool without flattening it.

How did we make the app work in five languages?

Petar's audience is not only English-speaking, so the app, the store listings and the landing page run in English, Croatian, German, Italian and Spanish. His training plans and onboarding questions translate automatically into the member's language and are cached, so each language only needs translating once.

We also wrote store listings per market rather than translating the English one word for word, and produced a full screenshot set with captions in each language. A German lifter searching the store sees German copy from the first screenshot.

What does Petar have now?

He has a clear offer for the first customers interested in his workouts: one app with his name on it, on both stores, where his whole method is connected. The audience was already there. The infrastructure to serve it is what changed.

What can other experts learn from this?

  1. Map where your method lives today. List every place a follower has to go to get the full picture: PDFs, videos, groups, email.
  2. Connect it in one place you own. An app under your name turns scattered content into a daily routine. Our guide on coaching apps versus online courses explains why that matters for results.
  3. Meet your audience in its language. If your followers span countries, translate the product and the store listing, not just the posts.
  4. Launch with one clear first offer. Know what a new follower should buy first before you build anything else.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a big audience to launch your own app?

No. A large audience like Petar's speeds things up, but the real requirement is a method people already ask you for and a clear first offer. Many experts launch to a small, engaged audience first and grow from there.

How long does it take to build a coaching app with Tribed?

Usually one to two weeks from the first call to an app ready for review. Tribed handles the technical work: the app, the store listings, the AI coach and the landing page. The expert reviews, tests and launches.

Can a coaching app work in several languages?

Yes. Petar's app runs in English, Croatian, German, Italian and Spanish. The interface, store listings and landing page are translated, and training plans and onboarding translate automatically into each member's language.

Does the AI coach replace the expert?

No. The AI coach answers everyday questions from the expert's own programs and guides, so members get help at any hour. The expert keeps the work that needs real judgment: live calls, hard cases and the personal relationship.
