Sara Freed
Sara Freed is a marriage and relationship coach who helps couples and individuals understand recurring emotional patterns, communicate in ways that can be heard, repair more effectively, and build relationships that feel safer, warmer, and more connected.
“People remember the feeling of being married to us.”
I have spent nearly two decades sitting with couples and individuals at the point most people never talk about out loud: the marriage that looks fine but feels lonely, the trust that cracked, the same fight that keeps coming back in different words, or the relationship pattern that seems impossible to change.
I know what it looks like when people are tired, hurt, guarded, hopeful, angry, scared, or simply stuck. And I also know that stuck does not mean finished.
The goal is not perfection. It is a safer way forward.
Strong relationships are not built by never getting hurt or never disagreeing. They are built by learning to understand the pattern, lower the threat, communicate with greater care, and repair more intentionally.
“Marriage is built through emotional safety.”
“Repair matters more than perfection.”
“Connection must be maintained intentionally.”
“Both people are protecting themselves differently.”
What approaches inform Sara Freed’s coaching?
Sara’s work is informed by CBT, Imago Dialogue, and Gottman Method principles, including the Sound Relationship House framework. These approaches support work around thoughts and reactions, emotional safety, empathy, structured listening, recurring conflict, friendship, trust, repair, commitment, and shared meaning.
These are informing frameworks. Coaching is not psychotherapy, and Sara does not present proprietary Gottman or Imago material as her own.
Practice structured listening, mirroring, validation, empathy, and curiosity.
Strengthen friendship, turning toward, repair, trust, commitment, and shared meaning.
MSW in progress.
Sara is currently completing her Master of Social Work, expected in 2027, as part of her ongoing commitment to stronger tools, deeper clinical understanding, and thoughtful support.
Therapy services will be presented separately and only when professionally appropriate and available. Her current private work is coaching and relationship education.
Most relationships do not need more blame. They need a clearer path forward.
