This Privacy Policy explains how Tribed LLC ("we," "us," or "Tribed") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile and web applications built and operated on the Tribed platform and distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store (each, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

01 Who we are

The App is developed and operated by Tribed LLC on the Tribed platform. Each App is published under the brand of an individual coach, creator, or expert (the "Creator") who provides the content and community inside it. We act as the data controller for account and platform data, and as a processor on behalf of the Creator for content they manage within their App.

02 Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — your name, email address, and login credentials when you create an account.
  • Profile information — any optional details you add to your profile, such as a photo or bio.
  • Content you create — posts, comments, messages, replies, and any text, images, or files you submit inside the App's community or tools.
  • Communications — messages you send to us or to the Creator for support.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and activity data — which content you view, your progress, preferences, and how you interact with features, used to operate the App and remember where you left off.
  • Device and technical data — limited technical information (such as device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic or crash data) needed to keep the App secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

03 Health & fitness data

Some Apps on the platform focus on fitness, movement, sleep, or wellness. With your explicit permission, these Apps can connect to Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android to read health and fitness data. This connection is off by default. The App never reads any health data unless you grant permission in the system dialog, and you can revoke that permission at any time.

What we access

When you grant permission, we read the following on a read-only basis. We never write, change, or store data back into Apple Health or Health Connect.

  • Steps — your daily step count.
  • Active energy — active calories burned.
  • Sleep — sleep duration and an estimated sleep quality.
  • Workouts — workout or exercise type and duration.
  • Resting heart rate and heart rate variability — on iOS only, where available.

How we access and collect it

The App requests access through Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Android Health Connect after you approve the system permission prompt. We read only the data types listed above, only for recent time windows (typically the current day and the previous night), and only while a health-related feature is in use. We do not collect your full health history, and we do not read any data types beyond those listed.

How we use it

  • To show you personalized wellness insights inside the App, such as movement, sleep, and recovery summaries.
  • To give the in-App AI coach optional context so its guidance and conversations can reflect your recent activity, sleep, and workouts. When you use these features, a short summary of your recent metrics is sent securely to our backend and to our AI providers (OpenAI and ElevenLabs; see AI features and AI providers) solely to produce that response.
We never use Health Data for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with any third party other than the service providers needed to deliver these features (cloud hosting and the AI model provider), and only to provide the functionality you asked for. Health Data is not used to make medical decisions and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

Your control

You can withdraw access at any time. On iOS, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health and turn off the App's access. On Android, manage access in Health Connect settings. Revoking permission stops all further reading of your health data immediately.

04 AI features and AI providers

Some Apps let you talk or chat with an AI guide. This includes voice conversations, text chat, group "roundtable" voice calls, and AI-generated plans, insights, and check-ins. These features are powered by third-party AI services. When you use them, some of your information is sent to those services so they can generate a response. These features run only when you choose to use them, and we tell you inside the App before any data is shared with an AI service.

Who we send data to

When you use an AI feature, we share the information needed to produce a response with the following AI providers:

  • OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) — powers text chat, AI-generated plans, insights, and check-ins.
  • ElevenLabs (ElevenLabs Inc.) — powers the AI voice guide and voice conversations.

What we send

Depending on the feature you use, this can include the messages you type, a transcript of what you say during a voice conversation, and relevant context from your profile and goals. If you have connected Apple Health or Health Connect, a short summary of your recent metrics may be included so the guidance reflects your recent activity. We send only what is needed to generate the response, and only when you use the feature.

How it is used

These providers process your information solely to generate the AI response you requested, under agreements that require them to safeguard your data, use it only to provide that response, and not use it to train their own models. We do not use AI features to sell your data or for third-party advertising. Your conversations with the AI guide are saved to your account so you can return to them, and they are removed when you delete your account.

The current third-party AI providers are OpenAI and ElevenLabs. If we add or change an AI provider, we will update this policy. You can review each provider's own practices at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy and elevenlabs.io/privacy.

05 How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate your logins.
  • To deliver the content, community, and tools inside the App.
  • To remember your preferences and activity so the experience is continuous.
  • To process and manage subscriptions and access to paid features.
  • To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account.
  • To keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

07 How we share your information

We share information only as needed to run the App:

  • With the Creator whose App you joined, so they can deliver content, manage their community, and provide support.
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf — such as cloud hosting, database, and infrastructure providers — under agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only for our purposes.
  • With AI providers (OpenAI and ElevenLabs) when you use AI voice or chat features, only to generate the response you requested. See AI features and AI providers.
  • With app stores and payment processors (Apple and Google) when you purchase a subscription. See Subscriptions below.
  • Where required by law, to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of users or the public.
  • In a business transfer, if the platform is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in control of your data.

08 Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your full payment card details. The app stores share with us limited information needed to confirm and manage your subscription status. Your payment data is handled under Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

To cancel a subscription, manage it directly through your Apple or Google account — deleting your in-app account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.

09 Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except for limited records we are required to keep by law (such as financial or tax records), which we retain only for the period required by applicable regulations.

10 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11 Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using our dedicated form:

We process every request and confirm by email within 30 days. See Data retention for the limited records we may be legally required to keep.

12 Children's privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

13 Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to address vulnerabilities promptly.

14 International data transfers

We operate internationally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information when it is transferred across borders.

15 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.

16 YouTube API Services

Tribed uses YouTube API Services to let an authorized Creator or administrator connect a YouTube channel they control and upload a video they select, own, or are authorized to publish. Use of this integration is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Information we access and store

  • Authorization data — OAuth access and refresh tokens for the YouTube permissions you approve. Tribed never requests or stores your Google or YouTube password.
  • Channel data — the authorized channel's ID, title, handle, and thumbnail so Tribed can show which channel is connected.
  • Upload data — the video file and the title, description, privacy setting, schedule, resulting YouTube video ID, and upload status needed to complete and report the upload you initiate.

How we use and share YouTube data

Tribed uses this data only to identify the channel you authorized and to upload the content you expressly choose to send to YouTube, immediately or on the schedule you select. We do not use YouTube API Services to search for, download, cache, rehost, or analyze third-party YouTube audiovisual content. We do not sell YouTube data or use it for advertising. We share it only with Google/YouTube and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf when necessary to provide and secure the integration.

Cookies and device information

Tribed does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies to access, collect, or store YouTube API Data. Tribed may collect limited device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic data, only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App; this information is not used to obtain YouTube API Data.

Your control, revocation, and deletion

You can disconnect YouTube at any time from Tribed Settings → YouTube → Disconnect. Tribed will revoke the authorization token and delete the connected account's stored authorization data as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. You can also revoke Tribed's access from your Google security settings. If access is revoked there or a token can no longer be refreshed, we delete related stored YouTube API data as soon as possible and within 30 calendar days. You may also use our account and data deletion request.

For questions or complaints about Tribed's use of YouTube data, contact [email protected].
